The history of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd., the then Nadar Bank Ltd., dates back to 1921. The thought of establishing a bank under the guidance of the able
Nadar business community was mooted out in the Anniversary of Nadar Mahajana Sangam held at Tuticorin in 1920. The proposal was effected soon. The bank
was registered on May 11, 1921 as “The Nadar Bank Ltd”.
A group of dedicated men with shrewd acumen and sound integrity had been constituted as Board of Directors and they elected Shri M.V. Shanmugavel Nadar as
Chairman on Nov 04, 1921.
Qualification Details:
Educational Qualification: First Class Arts/Commerce graduates with First Class Post Graduation in Marketing/Finance in regular college course.
Experience: In any private/public sector bank with at least 5 years experience, of which, 2 years in Scale I cadre. Experience in Marketing area will be an added
advantage.
Desirable: Hands on Computer skills, Fluent spoken and written knowledge of English and Hindi apart from mother tongue.
Age: Not exceeding 40 years as on 31-12-2015.
Probationary Period:
Selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of one year. At the end of the probationary period they will be subjected to an internal screening process to
evaluate their performance before being confirmed in service.
