In January 2009, IIT Bombay admitted 11 PhD students. On February, 27, 2009, the foundation stone of IIT Bombay was laid by Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Hon'ble Chairperson of UPA. For the 2009-10 academic year, IITH will be admitting 120 B.Tech. students, 35 M.Tech. students and 10-15 Ph.D. students.

Position & Salary - Senior Project Executive Officer (1 Post )
Consolidated salary Rs.100000 - 132000/- p.m.
Qualification - PhD with minimum 8 years relevant experience or MBA/MTech or equivalent degree with minimum 12 years relevant experience or equivalent. The candidate should have sufficient experience in managing large activities/centers/projects at higher/middle level managerial/scientific/academic positions (to be drawn up as per the specific requirement of project). This is a leadership position involving effective management of a team, with initiative & independence, to achieve desired results.
